In just a few short years, Kenect has seen exponential growth in both its business and its workforce. Kenect is one of the fastest growing tech companies in the country, and with that comes some growing pains.
Founded in 2017, Kenect has transformed from a small operation in a garage, into a workforce of more than 100 employees. Kenect is constantly looking for new talent and hopes to get to more than 160 employees before the end of 2021.
In addition to its internal growth, Kenect recently received national recognition. Inc. magazine just revealed that Kenect is ranked No. 216 on its annual Inc. 5000 list, the most prestigious ranking of the nation’s fastest-growing private companies.
The Kenect platform allows businesses to use texting to interact with customers. More than 4,000 companies across the country use Kenect to text customers, collect payments, generate reviews, and gather leads.
With all this expansion, Kenect has now outgrown its current space, and has plans to move into a new building.
We asked Kenect CEO and Co-Founder Shaun Sorensen to explain a little bit about the move.
Q: Why are we moving?
“Kenect is bursting at the seams! We are approaching 150 team members and out of space in our current building. “
Q: How long have we been in the old building?
“We have only been in the current building for 18 months. We are currently in 14,000 square feet of space. We have outgrown our space in only 18 months. The new space will allow us to control our destiny. St. John’s Properties has been a great partner. “
Q: What are we getting in the new building?
“We will have two floors totaling nearly 30,000 square feet of space and custom designed specifically for Kenect.”
Q: What is something unique we are adding?
“Mother’s lounge. Cornhole corner. Massage chairs. Custom Kenect Library.”
Kenect hopes to move into its new space before the end of the year.
