As demand for business texting continues to grow in 2023, Kenect is adding more people to help meet the needs of our customers and the interest in new technologies.

Our company is being recognized for its growth. Recently, Kenect was honored as one of the top 500 fastest growing companies in North America according to Deloitte, growing nearly 500 percent in the past year.

Also, Kenect was added to the Inc. 5000 list for the second year in a row. We were recognized for the growth we have experienced over the past year, and according to the list we are now the sixth fastest growing company in Utah.

With more employees joining Kenect each month, we wanted to introduce you to some of our team members. This week, we highlight Numi Hamilton.

What is your role at Kenect?

I am the Talent Acquisition Business Partner.

What is your favorite part about Kenect?

I love that Kenect truly embodies their values. The company culture is anchored by a set of core values that everyone takes to heart, which creates a sense of authenticity, respect, and collaboration. Also, the people here are amazing; They are incredibly supportive. I feel grateful to work with such a talented and motivated group of individuals who share a common goal of driving success for the company. Lastly, I am absolutely obsessed with my team, our small but mighty People team!

What have you learned during your time with Kenect?

So much! I’m in my 3rd month working here and I have learned that we truly learn fast and go fast! During my new hire orientations, I always mention how impressed I am by this approach. I initially thought I understood what it meant to go fast, but Kenect takes it to a whole new level. I appreciate that we are not afraid to try new things and learn from them as we continue to grow. It’s amazing to be part of an organization that values progress and innovation.

What is your favorite activity?

I love CrossFit and eating ice cream. I like to think it’s a great balance! I enjoy spending time with my husband and our pup, traveling, and finding new spots to eat. I also love training my dog. My favorite activities change depending on the season. During the summer, I enjoy hiking, trail running and going to concerts. We also love spending time at the lake and taking canyon drives to see the beautiful sunsets. In the winter, I prefer to stay cozy and hibernate at home getting caught up on shows.

What is your favorite movie or TV show?

For TV shows, my favorite is “Parks and Rec.” I can re-watch it over and over again. Also, I have to admit that I love reality TV. My favorite is “Love Island” only the UK version though. As far as movies, I always go for a lighthearted romcoms.

How do you like to spend your free time?

Currently, my husband and I are working on renovating a rental property, so we are quite busy during our free time. Once that's done, I'd like to continue learning how to sew, which is a new hobby I picked up last year. I also love game nights and spending time with family and friends playing cards and board games.

If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would you go, and why?

So many places! I would love to see the Northern Lights or go to Africa to volunteer at an animal sanctuary. The bucket list item I am crossing off here soon is cruising Italy & the Adriatic sea then hitting up Budapest and London this year.
